The village is located east of the city of Bursa in the Turkish capital Ankara and is 13 km away from Bursa. It is one of the five villages on the edge of Oludag. The village is associated with Othman Ghazi. This village dates back 700 years ago, and is one of the rare villages that have managed to preserve the architectural structure of the Ottoman period, which still retains the traditional lifestyle.
Description of the village:
The Cumalıkızık ethnography museum in the village square features historical things from the village. The Mulberry Festival is held annually in June in the village.
The houses of the Ottoman village were built in Bursa of wood and stone.
Most of the buildings are three stories high. 57 of the 270 houses of Jomali Kisek were registered as a model of civil architecture. Alongside these houses are mosques, baths, huts, and two historic pine trees.
Its narrow alleyways are lined with large stones.
